Dartmouth Academy Remembrance Service

19th November 2018

It was an amazing opportunity for our pupils aged from 6 – 16 years to attend this memorial service at BRNC and think about all of those people who selflessly gave their lives in order for us to live ours. During the service every pupil & staff member laid a poppy as an act of remembrance.  I am always very proud to be the Principal of Dartmouth Academy but today this was especially true.  Class 5/6 under the expert leadership of Mr Pemberton led the service which was extremely emotional.  Secondary pupils moved us deeply with their explanations of world war poems and memories.  The singing was superb and it was so valuable having the secondary pupils in the choir to accompany.

Due to our partnership agreement with the Naval College, pupils are able to benefit and experience events like this and we are very grateful to BRNC for facilitating this service and their ever increasing support.
