Year 8 Eden Project Trip

22nd March 2022

We walked onto the balcony/view point by the shop at Eden and the pupils all said, “Wow”, and they actually had their breath taken away. It was beautiful, the sky was blue, the flowers were out… that moment was worth a million pounds. One pupil said his excitement levels were at 1000 out of ten, and I have no idea how many times he said, “I cannot believe I am here.” The pupils were absolutely hilarious because within ten minutes of us saying, “Off you go,” three boys were seen with their heads in the bushes trying to find a smelly plant to write about! They were so excited. They got straight onto the climbing frame outside The Core and they really liked the weird bacteria exhibition.

Lunch was easy… thank goodness for the weather. Everyone lay around or sat on the benches and it was like being on our holidays. We had a walk around the rainforest and found the gecko hut.

We then went round the Med biome and everyone had some time to themselves for a wander, very lovely, and it was time to go home. The pupils were looking for the answers to the questions, and they definitely were working well together during this fabulous trip. Mrs E
