Child Protection and Security
We fully endorse the Devon Safeguarding Children Board’s proposals which are to ensure that children are fully protected from harm and we are committed to following these procedures in all cases where there is concern.
The Academy has a designated Child Protection Manager and Governor and clear procedures are in place for reporting concerns, record keeping and confidentiality. We recognise the importance of listening to students at all times, particularly when they are distressed, worried or concerned. All members of staff regularly update their training in this area.
